Lots of stuff !
Taylor Stubbins on his way to breaking his own club record for the U17 1500m. Alex Adams in the process of knocking 11 seconds off the club record for the U17 3000m It feels like the type of newsletter we used to have back in the day, pre-lockdowns 1,2 and 3. We've got track, we've got field, we've got hills, we've got a road race, the next Shakespeare race is a proper old fashioned one and I do believe Tara Lambert is back doing what she does, this times it's the Thames Path 100 miler. Go figure. Hopefully we'll have a report next week. We also have details of the upcoming Hilly 100. This week we saw another tremendous showing from some of our club members at The Pingles Stadium on Saturday, with a couple of club records and lots of PBs. There was another Winter Series race on Sunday. They're a bit like buses at the moment - you wait ages for one to come along and then several come along all at once. We have the results of the latest and hopefully last virtual Shakespeare Race with the next one being a real live actual race. Also last weekend Cadie Hibberd lowered her PB in the Mid-Cheshire 5k. Well done Cadie. Finally there are some smashing photos from Jo Hutchinson,of groups of our junior endurance runners, taken last Sunday on the Welcombe Hills. Good luck to our junior members who are competing in Northamptonshire at the weekend. It might be wet ! Enjoy the weekend. Best Wishes David Jones Niamh Hillard knocking 7 seconds off her PB in the 1500m Dave Wilson finishing strongly as he runs a PB in the devilishly difficult 400m. From l to r : Ruby and Lucy Edwards, Paivi McMillan, Niamh, Nikki and Nick Hillard having a fun day at the races. Nuneaton Spring Special Open Meeting. The Pingles Stadium - Nuneaton. We had both young and not so young members competing, ably supported by many parents and club coaches. The Pingles has become the go-to stadium for these type of events since restrictions allowed them to go ahead. These competitions, at this venue, are a godsend for local athletes. They are always both well run and welcoming events. Once again there were several personal bests recorded and a couple of club records tumbled as well. The ever improving Taylor Stubbins recorded a personal best in the 1500m of 4:15.06, to set a new club record, breaking his own record set just a few weeks ago. Also in the 1500m, Niamh Hillard knocked 7 seconds off her previous best time by completing the race in 5:07.86 The other club record to fall was the U17 3000m.15 year old Alex Adams knocked 11 seconds off the previous record by…
